"A very musical pianist" - Henry Holst

David Christophersen's current project offers a unique opportunity to hear Prokofiev's visionary sonatas 6, 7 and 8 from the years 1941-1944 in sequence. These beautiful and brilliant works are contrasted with some extraordinary and colourful piano music from across Europe.

David is premiering two exciting and colourful new piano works in St John's Smith Square: on 22nd February, Jeremy Thurlow's Soft-born measureless light and on 22nd March, Robin Holloway's Scherzo alla ciaconna.

David Christophersen's recording of Prokofiev's 6th and 7th sonatas and shorter pieces by Kabalevsky will be on sale at these recitals.
